    Hi All

Does anyone have a headstock section from a Falcon 74 frame that they are willing to sell. My recently purchased barn find project that came without a V5 has the frame number worn away so I am unable to get the bike registered. I spent some time talking to the helpful chaps on the FBOC stand at the Bristol Show today and they advised that locating a substitute frame section with an authentic frame number would be probably the easiest way of getting the requisite paperwork sorted.
I believe the frame number would have to lie somewhere between WM76659 and YM84110

    Thanks
    Jack Clegg

Pick a number and stamp it on. Such a shame to waste a good frame. Back in the day, replacement frame parts would have required the number restamping. No criminal intent then or now.

Is it not possible to get an an xray scan of the frame? http://www.ifaf.eu/en/methoden-zur-fahrzeuguntersuchung/
I would not recommend re stamping a random number.
