just saw this on ebay
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Villiers-350-single-engine-rare-early-engine/273830068067?hash=item3fc18b3f63:g:oVYAAOSweGpcyqQP
Engine number YZ 953
Out of interest can anyone tell me what it would have been fitted to?

Villiers 350 ? Empty Villiers 350

Yes Villiers 14B engine, 346cc version of the 14A engine, the only FB to fit a 350cc engine was the Dominion model 16 in 1930, although this was a 9B, 342cc with crankcase numbers CZA*** but various other manufacturers used the 14B,
The YZ crankcases make ita 14B as does the roman numerals XIVB on the cylinder, this engine was produced from 1931 to 1940 and also ended up in industrial agricultural machines, so may not be motorcycle specific ?

Villiers also made a 353cc fan cooled single cylinder two stroke engine the Mark 28B that was fitted to the AC Petite Mark2 3 wheeler car in the mid 1950's, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AC_Petite It was also used on a Danarm 2 man chainsaw http://www.acresinternet.com/cscc.nsf/ed1d619968136da688256af40002b8f7/f7a6d31e759e127e88256b4e0061e95b?OpenDocument
