I picked up two 6 volt coils awhile back and just found out 2 into 1 won't work, I have a Cruiser 80 with a 2T motor .. any ideas on a alternative route?? there are twin lead 6 volt coils out there ,what should i be looking for,, also modern Battery?

Cheers

Hi Intrudin,

I did 2 bikes with the same spec just follow an 89 twin Cruiser wiring diagram if you feeling flush Villiers services do a great Electronic conversion for the 2T engines which is really good. They also do all the bits you need coils etc just ring Steve.

These coils marketed for Yamaha Townmates (and other bikes) work well on the Villiers twins. Just need a suitable mounting bracket making up

I use a lot of MZ or Enfield stuff as it looks period and 6v stuff is still available. If its a genuine part its also pretty reliable. Pattern stuff, not so much!
