There is elecronic ignition available to replace the Bsa Bantam wipac set up, and the 25C uses the same system, but as the Bantam one is on the other side of the engine, the rotation would be different, so best to talk to the makers to see if it is suitable ? Electrex world, or Rex Caunt

Some years ago Pete Savage was making points conversions for Villiers singles and twins. They used a points from a Ford Escort which were easily and cheaply available from car shops. I am sure Pete could do a set for a 25C if he is still doing them. I think he had a connection with Rex Caunt

Peter Savage is no longer doing any parts or work on any engines or supplying any parts, he had a couple of strokes a while back and has retired, i cleared the remainder of his spares and parts about 3 years ago . Nice man and a good engineer, but sadly no longer in business

Thanks for that update John, sad to hear of Pete's problems, a real gent, I bought one of his points conversions for a 4T which is still working well. Very helpful guy as the first one he sent the slots were not quite in the right place, he sent me another and told me to keep the original one.
Pity someone has not taken over the manufacture of these and maybe extended the range to other engines.
