Hello and thank you for letting me into your forums. I have this motorcycle that I am having troubles identifying it has a registration plate for a 1938 wanderer but has a wilier 9d if my research is right it also has 20 in tires and stands about 2 ft tall with a sidecar I will attach some pictures and hopefully somebody here will be able to help me LOL I have been researching for four or five years for a picture or something of it and have not found anything. 1938 wanderer werke. 1938 wanderer werke. Villiers Empty initial thoughts

Hmm , tele forks in 1938 ? highly unlikely? the Villiers 9D engine was made from approx 1937 to 1948, Wanderer was a german manufacturer which basically finished in 1929, but i believe the name was licensed and production continued using the name until approx 1946 ?
The petrol tank looks to have been adapted to suit the frame ? possibly from something else ?
All Wanderers i have seen images of with 9D engine have girder blade forks and the rear frame comes to a point rather than the rounded tube your bike has ?

While the petrol tank does look to have come from a Wanderer, i have my doubts as to whether the tank belongs to the frame ?

looking at the frame it looks more like a Sparta than a Wanderer ?

Yes can confirm engine Number is a pre war 9D, but it is in a strange place ? it is normally stamped on the back of the gearbox casing ? the 98cc version was AAB and the 125 version was AAA, so definitely 125cc

The mount to the frame look original but I have not found where WonderWorks use this engine in 1938

Yes all images i can find and references show the Sachs engine in this frame ? and it does not show the front downtube to be the shape yours is, so maybe a gifted amatuer has replaced the sach engine and done a decent modification to the frame to accept the more powerful Villiers engine as a sidecar has been fitted ??

This bike is about 34 inches at it's tallest point I couldn't imagine anyone bigger than about 60lbs riding it lol. I wonder if it's worth taking the side car off and trying to take it back to original,I'm not even sure what there worth. Any suggestions.??
