Hi All. Looking to find out exactly what I have. Recently acquired a frame and engine.
Frame No: CC15843. Engine 2T, SN: 794B 9884. Any info would be great thanks, Aidan.

frame - Frame & Engine Number help. Empty Identity

Post  piston 197 on Fri Dec 08, 2017 3:10 pm

Just spotted this post
Frame prefix CC is a 1961 Francis Barnett , Cruiser 80 , which would have originally had an AMC 250cc 25T single cylinder engine, but your 2T will fit the same mounts
Had it been a twin frame the prefix would begin CH
the 2T engine prefix 794B is not in the code list, so cannot tell you what it came from originally, but not a FB

Wow, that was quick, I thought it was a cruiser 80. Next job is to get the engine running. It's currently ceased!! Would it originally have been green or black? Any idea where to get a fuel tank, rear mudguard and headlight/clocks?

frame - Frame & Engine Number help. Empty Colour

Post  piston 197 on Fri Dec 08, 2017 3:25 pm

There is no paint code colour letter after the frame No. you quoted so it would have been Green.
Black and white ones had a BW after the frame No
I am sure i have both a petrol tank and a rear guard, and certainly a headlight shell.
I will send you a p.m with my Email address
